Negli appunti di un parroco di Contile nell’archivio parrocchiale, si legge: “Contile, 26 aprile 1681…nei pressi della cappelletta detta La Colla…” Fin dal 1600 esisteva dunque in questa località una cappella, dedicata alla B.V.Maria. IL CROSONE Il 31 maggio 1824 dall’anzianato del Comune di Varsi viene preparato ed approvato un elenco delle strade esistenti nel territorio. Tale elenco viene poi trasmesso al consigliere di stato dell’interno del governo di Maria Luigia. Più volte viene menzionato il “Crosone” .
