A Varsi il 30 novembre 2016 si è tenuta la cerimonia di consegna di quatto medaglie d’oro a quatto famiglie, due di Varsi, una di Valmozzola e al parocco di Rocca Nuova di Varsi per aver aiutato la famiglia ebrea Fargion durante l’ultimo conflitto bellico a salvarsi.
Due anni fa la Sig.ra Lina Labadini, ha voluto realizzare il sogno di suo padre, andare alla ricerca di quella famiglia di 12 persone ebree che fuggite da Milano si erano rifugiate prima a Salsomaggiore, poi a Varsi dal padre della Lina, poi nella chiesa di don Ubaldo Magistrali a Rocca nuova di Varsi, visti i continui controlli da parte dei fascisti la famiglia continuò a spostarsi raggiungendo la famiglia Cordani sempre a Rocca Nuova di Varsi, poi andarano dalla famiglia Croci di Valmozzola, infine da Parma riusciurono a raggiungere la Svizzera e trovare finalmente la salvezza, un duro peregrinare tra i monti del nostro appennino, la Lina dopo svariate ricerche riesce a trovare l’unica ancora in vita della famiglia Fargion, Liliana, e da li con l’aiuto della consulta culturale di Varsi che realizzo’ un piccolo documentario che narra la vicenda di questa famiglia

Oltre al Sindaco di Varsi Luigi Aramini erano presenti altri sindaci di paesi vicini, poi il Presidente della Provincia Filippo Fritelli, il Questore Pier Riccardo Piovesana, il Colonnello Massimo Zuccher e il Presidente della Regione Emilia Romagna Stefano Bonaccini; ma anche i parlamentari parmigiani Patrizia Maestri e Giuseppe Romanini.
