Preg.mo dottor Romalli, io, come Parroco, insieme ai miei parrocchiani siamo ancora in attesa del rientro a Bardi della nostra Pala; nell’ultima mail della dr.ssa Comite del 10 ottobre scorso si comunicava che ” a breve” sarebbe stata riportata a Bardi l’opera: non si è più visto nulla. Sono esattamente 1 anno e 8 mesi che i visitatori che vengono a Bardi non possono più ammirare l’opera con dispiacere e amarezza; si avvicina il Natale e rischiamo ancora una volta di essere depauperati di questa fondamentale attrattiva turistica per il nostro paese. Chiedo con forza a nome della mia gente di accelerare i tempi della riconsegna, possibilmente entro questo Natale. In attesa di riscontro porgo distinti saluti. Buongiorno Don Luigi, capisco il disagio suo e della comunità di Bardi. Dal canto nostro tutto il gruppo di lavoro sta lavorando alacremente. Il restauro del supporto ligneo ha richiesto tempo e attenzioni al dott. Succuman, grande specialista del settore, dopodiché non avendo restauratori interni disponibili, abbiamo dovuto affidare d una restauratrice esterna, la dott.ssa Paola Minoia, l’intervento sulla superficie dipinta. L’affidamento, come in ogni evidenza pubblica, ha purtroppo richiesto del tempo, tra individuazione della ditta qualificata richiesta di offerta, ribassi e altre procedure con cui non starò a tediarla oltre. La dott.ssa Minoia ha firmato il contratto ma ha dovuto poi terminare impegni pregressi, ragion per cui ha iniziato concretamente a lavorare sulla tavola di Parmigianino da una settimana, ovviamente sempre presso i nostri laboratori e con la quotidiana supervisione e il confronto di tutto lo staff Iscr. A fronte di questi disagi, le buone notizie sono che il restauro della parte pittorica è finalmente in corso; che l’esecutrice è personalmente qualificata, come richiedevano l’importanza dell’opera e la tipologia dell’intervento; che il dipinto verrà anche integrato nella fastidiosa lacuna che ne deturpava la porzione marginale destra, con la restituzione del polpaccio del Battista e della retrostante pavimentazione, operazione delicata per la quale siamo estremamente soddisfatti dell’ affidamento alla dott.ssa Minoia. In merito ai tempi di riconsegna, devo purtroppo escludere che l’opera rientri per le festività natalizie. Faremo invece tutto il possibile per una riconsegna ad inizio primavera. In tempi brevi sarò a Bardi con la dott.ssa Giani e il dott. Succuman per valutare le esigenze legate al ricollocamento dell’opera. Un saluto cordiale – GIULIANO ROMALLI
