Castiglione dei Turchi anticamente era detto Castiono o Castione Turcarum,la documentazione storica finora ritrovata non consente di stabilire con certezza le vicende di questo sito fortificato.Originariamente sviluppato secondo uno schema a corte fortificata sulla cima del colle. Gli edifici sono costruiti in gran parte direttamente sulla roccia, ma a causa del degrado e dell’abbandono molti degli alzati sono oggi crollati, quanto ancora rimasto dell’architettura del sito rende solo una vaga visione dell’antica corte fortificata che vi si trovava fino almeno al XVI secolo. Probabilmente nel borgo si insediò una nobile famiglia “Turchi” di cui si ha traccia già nel basso medioevo, che ha tra i suoi esponenti numerosi notai e religiosi. Edificato originariamente forse già prima del X secolo sulla cima del colle, vi è l’oratorio romanico di Santa Felicita esistente sicuramente nel 1234, fu successivamente restaurato nel 1808 e nel 1930; interamente intonacato, all’interno è ornato con dipinti sulle pareti e sul catino absidale; il luogo di culto conserva una pregevole statua seicentesca in legno policromo raffigurante Santa Felicita con le sette teste dei figli, oltre a un confessionale seicentesco e alcuni quadri.
